Two boats will compete in each race, in the meantime, two boats get ready for racing at the loading site on the Dock.
12:00 noon -1:00 pm Performance and lunch break at the Stage and Lawn

Q &A of the Memphis Dragon Boat Festival
1. How much is the registration fee?
A: Registration is $60 for adult 18 years or older and it is free for youth age 12-18 to participate.
2. How many paddlers are needed for a boat team?
A: 16 to 20 paddlers plus 1 drummer.
3. What happens if we don’t have enough people to form one boat team?
A: The organizer can boatpool you with another boat team.
4. Is able-to-swim a must?
A: Not really. All paddlers will be provided with a life jacket and the licensed lifeguards will be on duty by the lake.
5. Do I need to get training before the race day?
A: The training coach will instruct the boat team how to paddle to get the fast speed 2 days before the racing day, i.e on 6/15 and 6/16 between 10:30 am and 8:00 pm, depending on each team’s own schedule.
6. Will it be safe in terms of security?
A: Police from Shelby county police department will be dispatched in the park.
7. Is boat racing the only activity of the festival on 6/17?
A: No. Multicultural food and entertaining programs are the other parts of the festival besides the boat racing.
